So I chose t I was actually picked it up from a friend. It was a really, really clean bike and I didn't want to mess with it. I was just going to leave it bone stock because he bought a lot of NOS parts for it. Super nice. Almost too nice to mess with it but then those usually make the best custom so I decided to just fully customize it. Change everyt I wanted a kind of a dual purpose bike that you can carry stuff with and j So far put about 500 miles on it, taken it all over the place and it's a blast. My name is Jay LaRosa, owner of LOSA Engineering in Signal Took about two years to gather all the parts for it and kind of designed it in my head and just gathered everyt The engine basically was just a stock rebuild. We did a first over, I did the valve job, put mccunies on it, 34 millimeter mccunies with canon filters and then of course the free or flowing exhaust. So just b I'm still going to convert it to electronic ignition and still have points in it. I mean it runs great. The exhaust I kept the front part of it up to about here is all the stock stuff and then I merged it into a 2-in-1 collector and used one of our stainless reverse mufflers. Used a heat wrap and gold zinc plated heat s It's pretty loud. It's got a good sound to it though. I just wanted to keep the exhaust up nice and tight and since it tapered, wanted to run it as flush as I can to the ammo can so I actually notched the back of the can and recessed the exhaust up into the can to keep it nice and straight. A little touch it most people don't see. We used taller shocks too. The back is probably about three inches taller than a stock CL450 and I changed the gearing in the back to clearance the chain more and had to make a slider on the swing arm and notch out the frame for the clearance with the I gave it a lot more ground clearance and then remade the kickstand to still support the bike upright. We used some scar pegs. Anodized them black. Had to pull out all the little stainless spikes before we anodized them because they don't come in black but I wanted them black then re-apoxied all the spikes back into it. Drilled lightning holes around the side covers both sides of the front rear fenders chain guard. Just add a little details. Just got a little holes everywhere. I assembled the whole bike and then accounted for every single bolt in the whole entire bike so basically I had to build the whole bike just I didn't leave anyt T So the wheels it took the stock dr Powder coated them semi black and then gold zinc plated all the spokes and hardware brackets levers and then we're running a Dunlop tire on it. Kind of a dirt track tire. We ran an I wanted some more upright bars so I used some Rental bars on it. Used old Joker levers, Joker throttle, Joker mirror. They're just neat. They have the holes in them kind of tied all the pulls together even the grips I So to mount the headlight I cut off the factory ears off the stock sheet metal pieces and I bottom mounted the headlight to the lower triple so it looks all clean. Left the side I wanted to add a logo so I left that was factory reflector and then I painted and put our logo in and cleared over it. Just add another little touch. Further little b It's probably overkill but hey it's there in case you need it. Handmade the bash guard too. Used some dimple dies and al The seat I shortened up So really just kept everyt Didn't customize it beyond the point it could always go back to a stock CL too so I didn't really hack anyt And then the tank was a it's a CB350 tank the CL450 tank just had a really horrible shape and I wanted more of a boxy shape so I adapted the 350 tank to it welded in a different gas cap and it ice everyt So I wanted to actually carry stuff on the bike and so I decided to use some 40 cal ammo cans and fit them to the bike with some old 70s Honda line saddlebag mounts so I could take them on and off as you want. I shortened up the seat and moved the rack that used to come way back here back in and kind of tightened up the whole back so I could carry stuff and then goal zero hooked me up with a bunch of gear in these solar panels and I really didn't want to wear the solar panels so I said man I could cut them apart and re-solder the connections and separate them out into the lids of each of the ammo cans so did that and they work perfect. So underneath our ammo cans we ran the goal zero solar panels that were sewn together and I cut them apart and made a harness to loop them to each other so I could spread them out. So underneath we got the converter and then the pack that stores the energy you can put in double A's triple A's plug in your USB device, have a goal zero little LED flashlight that charges with the USB. We keep secured in there, set of speakers for the phone, we got air compressor in there, tools, spark plug We could pretty much fix ourselves and have a good time and hold stuff. And on t Right now it currently says stop I used to have the glass lens in it said fuck you and it offended everybody in the whole wide world so I changed it out and I guess so I don't make people angry and want to kill me when I'm driving it around.
