Raleigh Motor aims to bring together makers from different disciplines to build a bike and create well designed and useful works of art.
For a lot of people, the story starts the same with a bike. It was a 1971 Honda CB350 and we really just wanted to make a classic cafe racer out of the bike. So we started reaching out to people in the community to help us build this thing. Where are we going to get parts from? How are we going to build the seat? Who's going to help us bring this thing to life? The more people we reached out to here in Raleigh to help us build this thing, the more ideas for how we could make this bike truly unique and a reflection of the artists here started to kind of bubble to the surface. And that's really what we're excited about, is working with individuals here in the community to help build pieces for this bike. Truly make it something unique, a reflection of this community's talent and passion for what they do. And this idea that if you want something that's of quality, building it with your hands is really the best place to start.
