Second Gear is a consignment shop as well as a retail shop and that gives some of our customers the opportunity to get some money back for some of their more lightly used items that still have a lot of value and recycle those items back into the community. Second Gear opened in 2004 and in the years since then we have written millions of dollars in consignment checks, most of them right here to the local Asheville community. We specialize in what we carry all the different accessories to get you out there in the outdoors. Many of our new items as well as our used items are the main brands that you've come to recognize in larger outdoor retailers including Eno, Marmot, Arcterix and lots of other high quality outdoor gear brands. Our goal is to be able to be a one-stop outfitter where you can come in and gear yourself up to hit the outdoors.
