Well, you've probably seen them on the streets of Col They've been the talk of town for months. Absolutely. Tonight, the city council could decide the future of bird scooters. KOMU 8's Matt Judy is live downtown with the story of, are they staying or are they going? Well, for one thing, it could mean to enter this entire scooter saga that has gone on since they arrived here back in August. Tonight, city council will be voting on an agreement that will reach between the city and two scooter companies. A vote that could determine whether or not these things get to hang around in Col You've seen them since August. They're on virtually every street corner downtown. But depending on what happens at tonight's city council meeting, that may not be the case anymore. Any time you have a business that's operating within your community, you want to have some sort of agreement. An agreement between the city and two scooter companies that would limit the n That's one of the reasons why we have an agreement But what if the agreement doesn't pass? Then we'll have to decide how we would then remove the scooters from the community. Bird Field Operations associate Kimberly Rose said that could be financially devastating for her if that happens. If I didn't have that extra income to rely on, there would be no hope. If passed, the agreement would also put out guidelines for riders on where they can park and ride the scooters. I just hope that they would follow the guidelines set forth so that people Muskrove said he isn't sure which way the vote will go. I talked to Councilman Carl Scala, and he said he still isn't sure which way he will vote. He did say he thinks the discussion tonight will be quote rigorous. Reporting live in downtown Col
