Showtime Customs is a down to earth custom and restoration shop. Old fashioned customer service, new technology and old fashioned work ethics make this the place to go for the simplest mods to the most complex restoration.
We've decided to start bringing you monthly updates on what's going on here in the shop, whether it be current builds in the works or new products we're working on, t A lot does go on in the shop and we do have a lot of boys here that go hard and build the cool cars that you do see on social media and stuff. So before we get into that and start doing the monthly updates, I thought we'll do a little bit of a tour of the shop, show you how it'set up, show you what goes on, what mac And it'll just sort of familiarize So let's go get into it and see what we can have a look at. Cheers. So t You might have seen some builds late last year in December of Uncuffed where you got to maybe have a bit of a look around the shop or see in the background of sort of how it's going on. No doubt at that stage the shop was pretty filthy just because of how much we're under the hammer on doing the build. But this is how we usually keep it a lot cleaner than when we're under the hammer But yeah, we are pretty proud myself and the boys of how we do keep the place clean and all the work and the materials and the mac So it always makes for a much better job or a smoother operation. In the front half of the shop here we've got This as you can see we've got some lock kits and stuff on there at the minute but that's where we package up all of our products that we send out that So whether it be trams, lock kits, tub kits, the works we do the whole lot and you can say that t So what we're pretty happy about at the moment is we've just linked up with VPW and Proflo in stocking all of their Proflo parts and pl And we have been able to get a whole heap of stock in from anyt We do a lot of catch cans or hose ends and stuff So we are trying to keep as much stock as possible there. We've got braided line and all that sort of stuff in stock as well as all of our electrical stuff so we've got a heap of wiring and wiring connectors. We don't do a huge amount of wiring, we don't do looms and harnesses and things We'd much prefer to stick to what we know which is fab but we definitely do have it in stock and we can fix up little things and run relays for fans and lights and get some pieces So we've already offered brake line kits, hydraulic handbrake brake line kits or ABS delete kits and things So we're just going to continue to sort of expand our products in the brake line area. But we are also going to be selling catch can kits and all that sort of stuff to suit specific model comraders. It's not just a universal kit that you can get online. It'll be to suit each different gen of comrader and stuff So we're going to be able to offer all that sort of stuff. We're doing it at the moment but we want to be able to bring all that to the online store and have So there'sort of scissor host here. T Whether it be tub jobs or diff jobs and things T From what I understand just a turbo, an RV. We're not doing the drive line on that one. However we are doing a built diff for a shortened diff and doing some one in set to wheels and setting up some of this tile and stuff So pretty neat little job. Be out pretty quick. Over here we've got all of our steel supplies. So we've got all of our in all these hubs we've got all the different sizes of al And then we have to do have a couple larger ones and then including for stainless as well. So we've got a quite a range of all the stainless mantle bends and stuff We've got a heap of V-bands in stock. Clanges to make whether it be turbo manifolds and header pops and extractors and stuff So that's pretty cool. We've got a heap of chrome moly here whether it be roll cage piping and stuff All of our lock kits and trailing arms and all that sort of gear. So that's always handy. A lot of exhaust tubing and stuff And then obviously the saw to cut all that sort of stuff. T Being down t It's not only good for building new products on and setting t But it's also good when we're building things on the front of the cars So we've got a hair. But t A good customer of our Zach. T We're just finis So we're going to do a nice sheet metal 9 inch into it with the whole falling setup and set up on some race wheels. We'll just finish the tubs in it and then he's got a cranky little NA combo to put into it. And it should be pretty cool sort of tough street car I suppose. So a couple more months and that'll be out just through the developing the rear ends for these. It can take a lot longer than your average sort of turnaround in our job. But that's cool. Should we eat a good one? I suppose t You could probably say that t But that's because t And we do try and keep all that messy sort of dusty grimy sort of crap down t So boys have their own benches in here. We do have a few boys here. So they need their own work spaces. We've got a whole heap of jigs and all sort of stuff floating around the joint. Along here we've got a lot of our laser cut stuff. We do have other areas where we keep it. But t So while there are laser cut there, a couple of little presses where there are press and bushes and things And then the centerpiece here is the bender. The bender we use anything from building suspension components and products It's a really good bit of gear. And that there with the setup that we've got on, we can actually move it around the shop. So in here you will be able to bend up a cage, But we can just take the bender out and stick it into the open area there and be able to bend up those larger sort of components. In t So as you can see quite a lot of sheet metal fabricating components in here from a, with the gillow on the folder, lock semer. We've got a couple of punis We've got some more. We've got some bead rollers here. We've got a Bayley bead roller. So we've got quite a bit of gear in here. That's great I think forming sort of wheel tubs and things Through to forming complete panels, whether it be wide body fenders or anyt So guards or tanks or basically anyt It'somet We can fabricate that stuff in-house. Good supplied sheet metal hammers there and all sort of gear. Main sheet metal bench here. The VG to VSU as well as the VN to VS wagon that we've put up on our social media just recently. So that's that style there. We are going to be releasing hopefully in the near future our first gen tubs and stuff So that'll be our 1 mil and our 3 mil first gen tubs. We do have quite a bit to offer in the first gen range. Yes, it's probably taken the longest, but we know that it's once it's released It'll be not only tub kits, but it'll be the other boot panels and floors and all that sort of stuff as well. So there's going to be quite a bit going on there and that'sort of why it has taken the longest to get that out to But we thought we'll get out this model first because we also did have a lot of guys screaming for the utes of VG VS utes and stuff So there are now lines saw now, you can check them out. T As I said, some of those other hoists, especially the back one, will be building products on there that's going to be there for a few months at a time and we understand that and it's good to have that there. Whereas on the guys are going for a lot larger engine setup in it and so they do need a lot more serious rear end to sort of lay it down. So we're just in the midst of tub and at the moment we're going to do a pretty funky little rear end for that. So you'll see probably in the next month or so you'll probably see somet T Hopefully in the next week or so we'll get the drive one back for that one. Obviously if you haven't seen the videos or seen it on our social media, it is a big block shed blown, injected, running on methanol. We've just built the whole rear end, the rear clip, all that sort of stuff. Now we're basically going to j Doing the front suspension, we're going to build some coil overs for it. We do the BC Racing coil overs where we convert the VB to VP style struts to the BC Racing coil overs. We'll also do an under dash brake booster setup and stuff Just once in the bay, the only thing that you'll see is obviously the tower power in the middle and then some pretty cool tanks for the dry s Overall should be really killer car and come next year it's going to be Last but not least we'll go into the mac Down here this is where it's all our manual turning or manual milling machines down here so you can see that we've got quite a few lids here, we've got some milling machines and stuff What we're doing down here is all the components we need whether it be in a hurry or a small batch or things They need it now or it might be a one off or whatever. We do a lot of that down here from milling down products spinning up in the lids. We do have the big lids there that we're just setting up with a bigger chuck and a bigger motor at the moment. The main thing we do with that one is cut down whether it be wheels, widening steelies or things So that's a pretty cool sort of life with that. But again we try and keep t However we do also have access to a complete CNC mac We are getting new tie rods made of the main frill of our lockets and that gets done in the other workshop but that's not here. In our next video you'll see hopefully t Not exactly our diff housings on, we've got our diff housing trolleys and stuff that we build all that on with our jigs. But more so for building diff centres and the on motor here and there and stuff So neat little area and last but not least we've got our little press brake here which is awesome for helping with manufacturing, helping with folding the plates and the sheet metal and stuff So we have been investing a lot lately into the shop and our operations of how t So we definitely do want to focus on improving the quality of the product that you guys get when you buy our products on our online store, improving the turnaround time in the manufacturing processes and stuff It's always good to work on those that's about it, I hope As I said next month round we're going to be doing, we're going to do an update every single month and you will see some of these new builds or what's changing or what's different We focus mainly on a bit of a shop tour and how the shop sort of operates and the next one we'll get a bit more into our products or a bit more into our builds and stuff So for now we hope that you have enjoyed what you're seeing here. If you have hit the like, hit the subscribe button, give it a share, Give us a, let us know what you want to see us build, maybe there's certain sort of ve We do definitely have a lot of killer builds booked in the near future but yeah, we'll leave you to it for now. We'll catch you next month. Cheers.
