Crossroad Customs

Hey, welcome to Saturday evening at Crossroad Customs. All right, before we shut down for the day, just wanted to get on and show you all our accomplishments today on the K10 square body cab we've been working on. So we put it in the paint booth today, we prepped it, we cleaned it, we showed you all that, we taped it to the floor. Behind the paper, it's already painted, underneath it's already painted. We walked around the truck today and we painted it at 360. The base coat cleared it. It's got three coats of high solvent cleared, three coats of base, and it's got one wet coat of sealer on it. I had a couple of people ask me what guns do I recommend. I'll show you what I use and I have very good luck with it, but everyone's got their own way of spraying. My clear gun puts a lot of product out of it, so you've got to pay attention to what you're doing and be moving or it will put runs right off in the floor. I'm going to show you all, let me grab them real quick. I'll show you my base gun and I'll show you my clear gun. This is a SADA 5000 HP LP gun with the PPS attachment. We use plastic cups, disposable ones, we don't use metal cups here. This is a nice gun and I usually spray somewhere around 27 PSI's of pressure through it on a metallic color. This is a Iwata WS 400. This is only my clear gun. I do not put anything else through it. It has a very large pattern on it and it puts out a lot of fluid, a lot of vol All right, let me walk you all around, show you all what we've done. All right. There's the firewall will have factory heat and air in it, windshield wiper, motor. Nothing has been deleted on the firewall of this truck. This truck is going to be a factory firewall. The only thing we did was clean it up and get the factory tar and seam sealer off of it, but it will be obviously color matched to the truck along with the fender wells, inner fenders, and underneath the hood. It's all going to be blue. So, yes, we left the hinges on the truck because I've already fitted the doors. I know where they go. I've drilled them out to mark where my alignment was, so they go back on and it won't give us any trouble. There will be very little adjustment, so a lot of people are It works for me. I But We're going to put the doors on next week. We're going to show you all that. We're going to get the glass back in the truck and do all that. But anyway, We appreciate it. We had a really good week this week. Sorry it's been kind of slow on the footage. We've been busy, and I didn't have anything really that I wanted to share. Everything was incomplete, so now we got some stuff completed, and we wanted to show it to you and show you our work. This is what it looks It's not cutting buff or anything obviously yet. We just have that done spraying it. So, we're going to let it sit over the weekend, and we're going to start assembling.
