Quality Cycle

Quality cycle at SIKI University has been defined as plan, do, check, act. There are many other cycles around. There's ADRI which is approach, deployment, review and improve. There's PERI, plan, implement, review and improve all fundamentally the same. But for our organisation we'll be going with the very basic plan, do, check, act. Where plan denotes the formal planning at all levels and that includes strategic plan down to PRPD which is seen as your personal development plan. And that includes for academics their program proposal or the course profile seen as being the academic elements around their planning processes. Do is around the intentional activities that you put in place to make those plans. Those plans effective if you How we meet those objectives. The checking is at two levels. That's both the monitoring and the reviewing. So monitoring where we might you obviously fill out a PRD, PRPD report and submit that back. So that's monitoring your performance. At the program level we'll have program reviews, formal program reviews but monitoring will be through the annual program enhancement. And so one is if you like monitoring is a light touch and the reviews are far more formal and far more have more robust doc And the act then is what enhancements or what improvements are we going to do out of the review and the planning process to improve for next time that the program's offered or our next PRPD meeting. Something So plan, do, check, act. It's meant to be a cycle around and in some cases it should be a spiral to the next level.
