This is Girl Portia Tether with Black Girls Ride magazine. I'm here inside of LA Cycle Sport inglewood, California, where we're doing our helmet fitting workshop. Our goal is to show women how to fit their helmets with different head shape sizes and hair styles. I'm here with our committee of local riders as we prepare for our All Girls on Ground Ride August 22nd in Los Angeles, California. So you'll get to see us in different helmets, different types of helmets. And if you have any questions at all, feel free to drop us a note or a comment and we will do our best to get the answers to you. Okay, we're here with Maya. She's one of our new riders and she's actually in the market for a helmet. So we're going to try this on. I can see Maya's got a full head of twist braids. And the goal is to find her a size that fits her hairstyle, but also fits comfortably on her head and protects her in any bit of a crash. So we chose it being showing RF 1200 for the demo. Let's go ahead and Maya put it on and let'see how it fits. So I was talking to the great Kim here at LA Cycle Sport and she gave us some tips on what we need to do when fitting a helmet to make sure that it is actually a proper fit for your ride. So the first thing we're going to do is go ahead and put your fasten your chair strap and here we go. And here we go.
