DarkStar Carbon was the inspiration of Aaron Dyer, a car and motorcycling enthusiast who saw the potential to bring the distinctive look—and strength, light weight, and durability—of carbon fiber to Harley Davidson Motorcycle accessories. Aaron raced ATVs, dirt bikes & Cars and quickly learned that carbon fiber was an ideal material for those who want their vehicle to be light, strong, and stunning. One of the first changes he made to his first sports car was to replace the heavy hood with a carbon fiber hood. This brought admiring stares from all who saw the car as well as reduced weight which helped lead to faster lap times. Now as the owner of a Harley Davidson Road king, and as a trained Harley Davidson technician, he wanted to bring that same distinctive look to Harley Davidson motorcycles—to saddlebags, fenders, and other accessories. Anyone who has seen carbon fiber in premium cars or other premium products knows it is visually stunning; but not everyone loves the look of classic black fiber; so the ability to build colored carbon fiber accessories—red, blue, orange—was critical. Fortunately, Rick Thurman, a 30-year veteran of the aerospace industry who had specialized in carbon fiber, had developed the unique ability to build high quality carbon fiber products using different colors of carbon fiber. This would allow someone with a red Harley Davidson to trim it out in red carbon fiber accessories. Or blue. Or orange. Rick even developed the ability to create custom carbon fiber colors to match any motorcycle. This is a game changer.
