Ever since my (Zak Hittman) first ride on a motorcycle (1976 Honda CT70) by my grandfather, I have been obsessed with bikes. I always knew that someday, somehow motorcycles would be the biggest part of my life. By the time I was 21 I had bought and sold over 20 bikes with my best friend and business partner Jake Jordan. The thought of opening a shop had always been in the back of my mind, but working full time jobs took up to much of my time and distracted me from my main goal of opening a motorcycle shop with one plan in mind. Save vintage bikes from rotting away and getting them back on the road for people to enjoy for years to come. We buy bikes, fix them up, get them running and sell them. To us, the profit isnt whats important. Its the thought of saving a motorcycle from being scrap. We owe our growing success to a strict business model. We don’t buy parts—only whole models without too much rust. Owing to my business background, I have a handle on the market, and know the price I ought to pay. In sixty days or less, the job will be done, whether we start with a decent bike or a carcass. Then it’s onto the next job without hesitation. If a finished bike sits too long, I will sell it at a loss. I'm interested in a killer operation, not a stockpile. Our roles within the shop are clear. I am first and foremost an entrepreneur. I wants to sell a style, push a brand, and make sure Sinning Saint Cycles never stops growing. Jake Jordan runs the shop, with his skils of mechanics, electronics, and fabrication. The dynamic is vital, the common ground being their mutual love for vintage motorcycles. "Anyone can go out and buy a brand new Harley-Davison, or a Honda sport bike."
