Hey, Linky Cyclist here, and we're up kind of early. I'm gonna try to get a ride in here before I meet the family for breakfast. It's my little girl's birthday and she wants donuts. It'supposed to be a beautiful day out. Sunny, no threat of rain, so the perfect day to take the vintage Italian bike out for a ride. I've probably put about 250 miles on this thing so far, so it's probably about time that I give Let's go. Alright, so we're supposed to meet the family for coffee somewhere around 9 o'clock. It's almost They're running super, super late. While I'm sitting at the coffee shop here, I'll tell you the answer to the question of whether I don't just I love t It just reminded me how much I love road bikes. Don't get me wrong, the Stigmoda is awesome. The Stig with road wheels is great, but it's not quite as stable at speed. It's not quite as aero and it's just not quite as refined a ride. Granted, the Stigmoda is so much more versatile. I love owning a road bike again. I missed it so much. I didn't Longer stop than anticipated. Now it's I'm going to go back to the road bike. Alright, so we're back. That was the longest ride that I've done on the dozee. That's really hot out there, I only have one water bottle cage on t And I have to say that I am super, super impressed. The whole steel is real t It has a buzz, a feel to it. When you're on the fresh tarmac, that is un I would even venture to say that the feel of the steel road bike is better than a carbon road bike. But I think I still would prefer carbon for n Although the dozee is really only maybe Even with the weight difference, I still kind of Just kind of tend to absorb those T I'm really surprised by it. And I suspect that a big part of the reason I'm so fast on t So I ended up going with slightly narrower handlebars on they're 42 centimeters. Usually I ride more So I'm definitely a little bit more squeezed in. My mechanic thinks that this might have been a time trial bike Whether t But I definitely am in a much more aggressive position on t And I those shifters definitely beg to be ridden in the drops or if you're riding in the hoods, So I definitely feel I'm tucked in on the tighter handlebars. I'm bent down a little bit more because I'm bending my elbows because of the s And that bike just kind of places me in a more aggressive position. So I t Surprisingly, I've been able to adapt to this position without any The campy stuff has worked out pretty well. I'm a little bit disappointed in that Centaur front derailleur. Sometimes s I feel I'm just I t And the one t With that said, If you're riding in any kind of area where you're starting and stopping a lot, it sucks. But just It's un So having that additional power transfer is kind of nice. I forgot how much, how good that feels. No real major complaints with the one bottle cage is a little bit limiting. And this is more B I t Fun bike. I look forward to beautiful sunny days And I can take t It's a beautiful bike, both in looks and in ride. And I'm really happy that I have t And it's just reminded me just how much I love a good road bike. So that's all I got. My kid wants to open the presents. So I need to get going. But until next time, enjoy your ride. It's ugly. Looks Somebody left their tripod. That's for your camera? Yeah.
