Wicked Detail

Hi, I'm Chris from Create Text Colors. Today I'm here to talk to you a little bit about our transparent Wicked Colors and our Wicked Detail Colors. These are our standard Airbrush Workhorse colors in our Wicked Colors line. They are water-based acrylics made for air brushing just about anything. In fact, we refer to them as multi-surface airbrush paint. The Wicked Colors and Wicked Detail Colors are both transparent airbrush paints. They're made with the same pigments. The major difference is in the resin. The resin in the Wicked Detail Colors is sheared to a submicron particle size. What that means is it's cut really, really small. It allows the paint to atomize better at lower PSI settings and a smaller tip-size airbrush. That resin also dries to a more flat appearance. That's perfect for illustrators who want the real true tone of the color to not be hindered by a gloss level. You can see here, this is the Wicked Transparent and these dry to a semi-gloss, more satin finish. The Wicked Colors and Wicked Detail Colors are transparent, You can spray them right out of the bottle or you can actually thin them with our 4011 reducer, right around 10% is what we recommend. You can also add our 4030 or 4050 to create an acrylic urethane. This is beneficial for painting hard to paint plastics or hard surfaces. These are transparent colors, so the underlying color or what you're spraying over is very important to get the brightest value possible. All of these shapes you see behind me on both sides were painted first with our Audubon Sealer White. That white is going to give us the most visual pop in these colors. The colors in our Wicked Detail line are what we refer to as an artist palette. There's primary, secondary, tertiary colors and more of the A lot of these colors actually cross over if you're familiar with the colors in our AutoWear transparent line. So these are the same colors that you'll now find in our transparent colors.
