The Wheelmaster

The Wheelmaster has been a local fixture for nearly 40 years, Machine work and custom spoke wheels are our main focus, but not limited to.

Today it's not Mori at Wheelmaster. Most of it is Jim at Wheelmaster and that's okay. That's my right arm right there. I'm Jim Mori'son and I've been building wheels here at Wheelmaster for well over 30 years and I'm thinking I've been thread and spokes since I was about 12. All the way through from the very beginning I wanted a friend in my son and we have learned to work that way. 40 years I've been tinkering on these things. I remember in the early days my dad, he'd yell at me quite a bit for running the machine too far one way and bashing the head off it or making wheels that had two short of spokes and there's all kinds of threads showing and he'd just get after me and say, oh, cut that back apart and there was a lot of wheels that got cut apart back in those days. I listen to what he has to say. If it's good I say yes, if it's bad I tell him what I think about it. I learned everything that I know from my dad, Mori. I'm going to build you a set of wheels that will outlast every other part of your motorcycle. We started putting together some math and figured out what we do. What you needed was to get in your head the hubs and the rims and how they work and how to overcome what their weak point was by overlapping one more. Three cross lace pattern and the end result is better handling, way more reliability. I talked to God about six years ago and I said look, you take care of the money, I'm going to take care of the customer. My warranty is a lifetime warranty on my wheels. I have that much faith. The only thing between your butt and the ground is your wheels. You don't want to think about them last in the equation. Pretty soon he was kind of carrying his own ball over there. A dragster, a bicycle, an airplane, a dirt bike, a street bike. I can rebuild, repair, re-spoke, any kind of spoke wheel made, period. They call us the wheel master for a reason. We are the master of the spoke wheel. There we go. My tension truing process is complete. Truing is another whole thing and it takes your focus. American made, American built. We'd love to have your business through the mail or if you're local bring it by the shop. You can visit us at thewheelmaster. com. We have a Facebook page called the wheel master as well. You can contact me through there. Come one, come all, support your local businesses. Jim out. We are the master of the wheel.
