If you're looking for a solid, no-fuss wireless service with unlimited data and good multi-line pricing, Total Wireless might just be the answer, especially if you're juggling plans for a whole family. I recently spent a few weeks testing out the service using the Base 5G Unlimited plan, and I came away with a mix of impressions. In short, Total Wireless delivers on what most people really want from a cell plan. There's no pre-pay, predictable billing, and no overage stress. But Let'start with what works. Total Wireless, owned by Verizon, now offers three unlimited data plans. That's a big deal, because even though most of us never really need unlimited data, it's mentally freeing not to have to track how many gigs you're using just because your kids started streaming cartoons and 4K on a road trip. Each plan comes with some level of hotspot data, w I used the Base 5G Unlimited plan, $40 a month for one line, and tested it in both urban and rural areas. W In town, I consistently saw speeds around 25 Mp down, w Out in the country, LTE took over, and speeds dropped to around 6 to 80 Mp is still usable, just not lightning fast. Where Total Wireless really s The Base 5G plan drops to just $25 per line when you sign up with 4 lines, and it gets even cheaper if you add a fifth. That's a huge savings compared to some postpaid options, especially since those prices include taxes and fees. If you're managing phone bills for a whole household, t As for features, the Base plan gives you 5GB of hotspot data, w If you upgrade to the Total 5G Unlimited $50 month, or Total 5G Con-limited $60 month, you get more hotspot data, 15GB are unlimited, though capped at 5Mbps, and some extra perks like international roaming and a Disney Pluff Premi I didn't get to test those perks first hand, but they certainly add more value if you want extras bundled in. There were a few downsides. The Total Wireless app wasn't great, it needed an update right out of the box, and some of the functions just redirect you to the website, w Also, if you're just signing up for one line, Total's pricing isn'that competitive. Services Ass One t I was able to watch in what looked Officially, video is supposed to stream at 480p on the base plan and 720p on the Finally, there's a bit of a loyalty bonus if you stick around after 12 months. Total gives you a $200 discount on a new phone. Just make sure to use it before 18 months or it disappears. All in all, Total Wireless is a solid pick if you're managing multiple lines and want predictable unlimited data with good coverage on Verizon's network. It's not the fastest option out there, and the app could use some love, but the value is definitely there for families. If you're a solo user, there might better deals elsewhere, but for family plans, Total is tough to beat.
