This is the Montar phone mount by Winner Gear. I needed a second phone mount for my other car and decided to try this one out with my Google Pixel XL. The spec sheet claims it fits phones up to 6 inches and since my Pixel has a 5. 5 inch screen it should fit comfortably even with the case on. I'm a sucker for anything in a red-black combination, so I was naturally attracted to this mount. It can be mounted to the windshield in the conventional fashion or you can mount it to the dashboard with the included 3M mount plate. The design is both sleek and simple with a black split tone and red soft rubber to grip the phone without causing any damage. Loosening the ring around the ball joint allows you to rotate the clip vertically horizontally or diagonal if your head is slopsided. You could also pitch it whichever way looks best for you. Before getting into the car, I wanted to test fit the Pixel XL to see how it aligns with the buttons. As with any mount, the device is offset but not by too much. You will also have access to all the buttons if needed. Installing it in the car is easy. Align the mount, remove the protective liner, stick it and push on the lever firmly. Insert the phone and slide it to clear the buttons. Once you're happy with the positioning, tighten down the ring in the back. I took the car for a spin to see how well the mount kept the phone in place. I didn't notice any shake even when it went over a b So what do you think of this phone mount?
