Yendrabuilt is a collaborative design team that focuses on function and form. Everything from custom bikes to reclaimed wood furniture: You dream, we build!

My name is Zach Yendra and the name of the business is Yendrabilt. We started Yendrabilt in 2011 right here in Fort Collins. We started the business to really do everything we wanted to do fabrication and design wise. My name is Sarah Kimball. I'm a marketing team leader here at Whole Foods Market Fort Collins. I'm at Zach and we wanted to have a custom A-frame sign out in front of our store. And so we commissioned him to do that and he built it out of all these great bike parts. So when it came time to do a refresh in our store, we really wanted to update our booth seating. So I suggested to my store leadership and regional decor team that we should take a look at these guys and see if this might be a possibility to work with them. They help source the l So we're using l It's coming to a local company that's curing the wood, drying the wood, cutting the wood, and then going to Yendrabilt for the final product. It supports so many of those goals of ours to be a part of and synergy with our community. So we had a bench system that was over 10 years old. It allowed for limited seating and so we wanted something that would really open up that space. It would be something that was really beautiful to look at and of course have a great story behind it. So one of the unique parts of this project was Zach has his bootleger bicycles. And as part of our core value of advancing and practicing environmental stewardship, we thought it was a great idea to have them use their new bikes to bring over all of the materials so we didn't use any carbon emission in that process. So we guys all loaded up all of these great materials and brought them here to the store. My goal for the bootleger was to build the fastest, highest capacity, best-handling cargo bike or trike out there on the market. I wasn't really happy with a lot of the stuff out there as far as the ride quality and the fun factor. The bootleger was really designed to handle really heavy loads and be really fun to ride. The big thing was I wanted a cargo bike to be able to handle speeds So if you really want to have a cargo bike or trike viable in an urban setting, it needs to be able to cruise in city traffic. So we can go 25 miles an hour with weight in the front. Were able to achieve this with the electric motor that we put on, which is just un It was a lot of fun to see them roll right in the store. And then they set about putting the bar together that night and came in the next day and it was all done. Here's our finished product. Everything's bolted so it's not going to move around on you and extremely sturdy. We used square tube steel for the frame on everything and then we had all of that powder coated a charcoal gray. So it's been really fun to see our guests come in, notice the bar. It's a really big change from our booths and it's a great new design for us. It allows for a lot more seating. It's just a fun story to tell our customers and overall they've been really excited and pleased with the new setup. So it's been really fun to see guests enjoying it.
