Hey YouTube, it's Davey J, I'm back. It's been a little while. I know, I apologize. 2019 and 2020 has been super crazy, super busy. I actually meant to put this video out a couple weeks ago, but then everybody in my house got sick. And if you have small children, then Today's video is the first of a few about our trip back to the Midwest going from the holiday season 2019 into 2020. Karine and I decided that this year we're going to go back home. We had a chance to go home for a little while, And we really wanted to make the most of it. So we decided to go check out as many muse And we had a lot of things that we'd never really get to do when we're home. And that turned out awesome. So we got in the Uber on the day of our flight and headed down to LAX and got on the plane and traveling with the boys is usually pretty good. We thought were being really slick this year by booking an early flight and were We failed. So the flight was great once the little one went to sleep. And by the time we touched down Detroit, everybody was well rested. Everybody was very excited. Pop, pop, that's my dad's name for the boys. So we get off in the Macomera terminal and the Macomera terminal is really interesting because it's very long. It'sort of just And I think it'something It might be. It might be a half a mile long. Cause I feel Yeah, maybe it's a half mile long. It'so long you can take a train to get from one end to the middle, which is where they aligned everything from So we got on the people mover because the boys love riding that thing. You get to see all the people below and that's always fun. And then we got on the road. My dad came and got us and we got moving. I knew that this year were going to be coming back home and we'd be home for a while. So I knew that I absolutely wanted to do two things. The first of which was to go to marvelous Marvin's Mechanical Muse It's an arcade, but the owner Marvin has decked it out with all of these old school arcade games. And I'm not talking about old school I'm talking about Turn of the 20th century type of arcade games. You're like any machines and, So you walk in and it's just, it's amazing. This place felt so big as a child. I remember walking in here and thinking this place was the size of Disneyland and I would be playing here Seeing them play some of these games that I played growing up and I'm not talking about the new ones, all the high tech ones, none of those were there in the mid 90s. But almost all of the old, old, old ones, I completely remember being terrified to play. And that was really, really special for me because, But I'm always shocked when they totally love it because there'something very magical about something tangible, right? So, But seeing them hand their tickets over and get fun things was half the fun. So after Marvin's, were still sort of in a snacky hangout mood. So I decided to take my family and my wife to another very special place for me in southeast from Michigan, Stroze Ice Cream Shop. Some of you may have heard of Stroze. Some of you probably have not. But you may or may not have also heard of Superman Ice Cream. That's the only reason why I wanted to go to Stroze because I knew Stroze would have Superman Ice Cream. It's this awesome regional ice cream that's made of So we got the ice cream, They thought it was amazing because ice cream is amazing and Superman ice cream is even more amazing, And yeah, and that was just our first day. We have, we had a lot of fun and, I'm going to have another video up very soon. We're going to be exploring Legoland Discovery Center in, We explored the Science Center in downtown Detroit. So, If you don't already, I'm at Mr. Davey J. Everywhere. Bye.
