We talk about new business all the time and a lot of people are scared. Tough economy, how do you do it? I want to introduce you to two women who have actually known each other over a long period of time but followed different paths until they came together with their new venture. Sandra Lee and Susan Patrick have started a business called Scream Natural and Sugar Free Ice Cream and it's really an interesting story. Sandra Lee ended up working in New York for Christian Dior then with Tiffany and Company. Fragrance was her area, a consultant, a spokesperson for a QVC, yet wanted to run a business. Susan Patrick, very different. She worked at CNN, ended up having a lot of children, wrote, and then opened a creamery in Milford, Connecticut. So Susan, let'start with you. How did you go from everything you did to a creamery? Where did that come from? The area that we live in, it was just a beautiful spot for a creamery and I am not a bad ice cream. I love good ice cream. So it just sort of evolved into it. And in talking to Sandra, we came up with the ice. Old childhood friends, right? We've been friends for years and our kids are friends so came up with the idea of doing it with the Stevia because we wanted something that was safe. Stevia, by the way, is a new sugar product. It's not so new but it's a natural herb, very sweet and a lot of very health conscious people rely on it. It's been around for centuries. It's grown on, it's a leaf of a plant. You extract the sweetness from it but it's completely safe. So it's not Which we always question. Exactly. So I'm very happy giving this to my children. I'm very happy giving this to anybody diabetic or even who just want to limit their sugar but still want a sweet. Right. So Sandra, how did you, I mean it's one thing when your girlfriend opens a creamery but and you came to this from a totally different approach. You were involved in fragrances, in business, in marketing. What made you decide that you would both produce together a new sugar-free ice cream? Well, Joan, first I want to say thank you for having us because we've been listening to you for years and this is such a pleasure to be here with you. It's really our honor. As Susan said, we've known each other for over 16 years and I have always loved ice cream my entire life. We would go out to dinner, my parents would be ordering food and I would want ice cream. So when Susan decided to open the creamery, I would hang out with her and we'd talk and we would meet and we would chat and I loved her ice cream. It was outrageous. But you made your own ice cream but it was regular ice cream. I was regular. High-pottered fat cream. Right. Okay, so we did some research and we said, gee wouldn't it be great for us to do something together since we've known each other, it would be fun to do something. Well, what are we going to do? We're not going to go create another ice cream because there's a million of them with tons of sugar. We did our research and we found out that Stevie is in the market. We contacted Cargill, who makes Truvia, who we partnered up with, who helped us develop the base for our ice cream. They have been outstanding. That is amazing. So you took a shot, sort of I must tell you, I love vanilla ice cream. It's my favorite. I'm boring when it comes to ice cream. That vanilla is a delicious ice cream. It's creamy, it's rich and it has no sugar. I know the vanilla is only 140 calories per serving. The berry, which is blueberry, raspberry, strawberry is only 100 calories per serving. And full of wonderful ingredients. It's a really terrific product. So where are you selling this product? We are in Stue Leonard's in Norwalk. Good for you. We love Stue Leonard's. They've been great and we're in Whole Foods in the Northeast region, in the North Atlantic region. So we're in two really big regions right now with Whole Foods. Now we can go on to your website.
