S Head to South Beloy where locals have been eating at our next spot for more than 50 years. Hi, what can I get for you? Crafting soft-serve classics and meeting new faces keeps things interesting for M&M dairy ripple owners David and Alicia Peterson. We love it and we have so many people that come day after day to come and get their favorite thing to eat. Thank you. You're welcome. The couple bought the family-owned and operated ice cream stand from David's father Mike, who owned it for 28 years, but the history of the stand goes back even further. Back in 1952, it was established by the Marsden's and they've sold three times since then, so next year will be our 70th anniversary. We kind of came into the picture more in the last couple of three years. Worked our first year hourly just to learn the business, but yeah, we took it over two years ago and it's been a blast. Taking an iconic staple in the South Beloy community and introducing it to a new generation. People coming in and telling me, oh, I came here 30 years ago and 30 years ago, it looked exactly the same. Everything hasn't changed, so people remember that and they want to come out and enjoy and have memories. You can get everything from a simple vanilla soft-serve cone to candy-coated creations, but the trick to making a perfect swirl is harder than it looks. Oh, gosh. We're going to be around here for another decade. Maybe we'll pass it on to our kids down the road and we're here to serve you. Sharing a love for community, family and ice cream with every cone swirled. M&M Dairy Ripple is open now through the month of September, seven days a week from 11 a. m. to 10 p. m. It's located at 470 Blackhawk Boulevard in South Beloy and closes for the season on September 26th.
