The Husky Deli in the West Seattle Junction is justifiably famous, especially for its ice cream. People come to Husky year-round for a cone, a cup, or a few gallons of what is easily West Seattle's favorite frozen treat. Since the Husky Deli began, ice cream has been their single most popular product. We thought you'd We put the cream and it's a mix that we make for the ice cream. It goes into the machine. Okay, and what flavor are we making today? We're making banana today. And do you use real bananas? Just real bananas, a little vanilla, and the cream. And there it is. You see the machine? You've got a blade that's actually a teflon blade that rotates and when the cream hits the wall, the wall is 50 below zero and the cream hits the wall with a freezer. And the blade scrapes it off the wall, sends it to the middle of the machine where there's a whipper on the opposite direction that whips it. And then we add the ingredients, add the freezes, and whips it at the same time. And then we make ice cream. Do you make ice cream now? Yeah. Do you? Yeah. When did you start?
