Mission City Creamery focuses on making small batches of ice cream from scratch in shop. We are always creating new flavors that you'll be sure to love.
Mission City Creamery was founded in 2013 and is family owned and operated. The owner's vision is for his shop to be a special place serving gourmet ice cream that is made by hand daily. The company buys locally whenever possible, and all dairy ingredients are organic and non-GMO purchased from Straus Family Creamery. Customers love our shakes, malts, ice cream sandwiches, Hot Fudge Sundaes, & ice cream cakes! We also serve delicious sandwiches and fries!
First we start with our Strauss organic base cream which already comes pretty sweet and so we don't have to add much more to that. We come in with strawberries, they're stabilized strawberries and syrup and we just add about two-third cups of sugar for our pan and then we put it directly into the machine, we let it freeze down to a solid 23 degrees, we take it out, put it in our pans and that's how we make our strawberries. For ice cream such as the cookie dough we put the vanilla bean directly into the machine, we let that whip up, we get it down to 23 degrees and then we put it into the pan and then we mix in the cookie dough pieces that we get from a local provider and then we also finish off with chips and mix it in that way. Just so we put those directly into the machine, it'll mess up the machine, it'll get chunky, it won't come out as nice as it would.
