A Rochester family is finally reopening a former frozen favorite in less than a week. Blizzard's will be back on North Broadway at one of Minnesota's first Dairy Queen locations. In May, Niels and Nicole Pearson purchased the 600 square foot walk up ice cream shop. The family's 19 year old son is planning to become the locations manager. The historic business closed back in the s The Pearson'say they're looking forward to starting a new chapter with a team of 10 employees ready to start selling soft serve next week. We are looking forward to meeting new people, new faces and just new employees and just being coming together again and serving the community. The Pearson's don't have a definitive opening date but are shooting for next week. The family says they're working to hire a few more extra employees to staff the shop.
