Hi, I'm Patrick with the City of Palm Coast Communications team. Today we're here at Twisters Ice Cream Cafe for the business beat. Let's go take a look inside and see what's going on. I'm here with Tony, the owner of Twisters. Now, I understand you've been making ice cream for 23 years. Tell me a little bit about how you got into making ice cream. I got involved with ice cream because one of my uncles in Danbury, Connecticut decided to move on and it was since in the family. I'm So I worked for free, So for me, I think, It makes me happy when I see kids. What is making your own ice cream That's really what makes you unique. What is that experience You have to learn from the best. But my uncle and my aunt, they've done it for 13 years and they were very successful. So me buying their business that they were already established and learning from them, it made me better because now I knew that I was going to learn from really the best. And I knew if I stick with their philosophy, I would also become successful. Why were you excited to open an ice cream shop here in Palm Coast? What about the city? Do you really enjoy? I have a brother and he told me, say, listen, why don't you come and open your own in Palm Coast because at that time, nobody made their own. Decided to come down. We had a golf tournament for the Portuguese Culture Center of Palm Coast. You did a tour and I was very surprised. I think I belong there. It's a lot of different flavors. What's your favorite flavor? When people ask me that, I say all of them because I make them. Good answer. Good answer. Well, you heard it here from the owner, the best flavor. Tony, thanks for having us today. Always appreciated. Thank Catch us next time on Business Beat.
