Ro's Custard Creations In North Canton

Receved Row I'm here with Mary Jo, owner of Rose Custard Creations, and today we wanted to stop by and just learn a little more about this awesome business in North Kinn. So Mary Jo, can you just kind of tell us how you got your start here at Rose? Sure. About nine years ago, my husband and I were interested in finding our own business somewhere and through word of mouth, we heard that Rose was for sale, looking for the perfect owners and we met the previous owners, we kind of got the ball rolling and here we are today. Nice, and how long have you been the owner then of this? This is our ninth season, but it's the 37th season for Rose. Wow, that is awesome. We are definitely fan favorites here. So what would you say, set yourself apart from other ice cream shops around? Well, we're definitely a small mom and pop business. We have three children of our own that all are involved in the business. Very family friendly, dog friendly. That's important. We have a lot of siblings that work together. We have a couple of mother and daughter teams. That's awesome. And we have premi That's awesome. They have sweet ice cream and you can definitely feel the sweet family feel that's here as well. So can you just tell us a little bit about that? Sure. We do actually a lot of fundraisers for local organizations. We do have a catering freezer that we take to parties, birthday parties, graduation parties. We've done a couple of weddings. We'll do a Sunday bar. Nice. Where we do a little six-ounce mini concrete that we fill the freezer, drop it off at the party and pick up the freezer later. Wow. Last fall we did our first battle of the schools, the North Kent schools, the elementary and primary and that was a huge success. I bet for us and the schools, we also are going to have our car cruising on June 27th and we have good cruising deals, food deals for the cruisers and live music and things Perfect. And that'such a good location right here on Main Street so we can see all of that happening. So we just want to thank you so much for taking the time to do this with us and for participating in our local passport. The passport will run from July 1st to September 30th and we are so excited for rose custard creations to be a part of it.
