Bobbie's Dairy Dip

Nashville neighborhoods keep evolving, but after decades in business, one spot really hasn't changed. Davis Nolan takes us to Bobby's Dairy Dip as we continue our tour through Davidson County. Bobby's Dairy Dip has been serving great food and of course great ice cream since 1951 and it's a Nashville tradition around here. I've been living in Nashville for over 40 years and it's been here ever since I've been here. So great burgers, great prices, and it's You see, Bobby's tries to keep the same look and feel it had back in the early 1950s when it originally opened his Harper's Dairy Dip. In the 1980s it was purchased by the late Bobby McRite who renamed it Bobby's Dairy Dip. But the 1950s atmosphere remained. Customers will come back and be I feel It's an old Nashville tradition and it's wonderful food, nice people, and good burgers. So what is it you Probably the milkshakes. And the items on the menu are a sweet tooth stream. I think we're known for the Dancing Dip which is a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate where the rainbow sprinkles on top. We also have great Sundays, great specialty shakes, and a very hidden item is called a Hidden Hot Fudge Cake. It's a brownie with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and cherry. But most of all, customers old and young appreciate the tradition. I think it's pretty important to keep these traditions alive. You see people who are bringing their children, their grandchildren here. He came with his grandfather the first time and they will stop here when they're in town. I think it's good that they kept something from a long time ago to now so we could experience still. This is everybody's favorite, the Dancing Dip. It's dipped in chocolate with lots of sprinkles.
