Hey Long Beach, I'm Linda Domingo and this is What's Good. Alright, we're here at Long Beach Creamery. I'm about to taste one of their holiday treats tonight. It's an ice cream sundae made with eggnog, cognac ice cream, and chocolate butter cake, and eggnog butter cake. Alright, let's dig in. Okay. Ice cream is really good. Super creamy. It's definitely cognac-y and eggnog-y. The cognac is a nice kind of a little bit of alcohol flavor, but it's awesome if you're an adult. I'm going to try some of the butter cake now. This is so good. It's really chocolatey, super moist. I love the cake part. It's a perfect compliment. We're here with Long Beach's own ice cream Willy Wonka, Dina Amadrill. She's the owner of Long Beach Creamery. Dina, tell us a little bit about how you came up with the idea. Cognac eggnog ice cream came from last Christmas when I got a little bit tipsy on some cognac eggnog, and it was delicious. I thought, So we took this year some Rockview Dairy's eggnog, and then cognac and mix it all together. Heated up the cognac a little bit so we can get the alcohol out, and we translated that flavor that I got drunk on last Christmas into an ice cream. For the holidays, we're going to try roasting some chestnuts, putting them in some ice cream. We're going to take peppermint bark and make it a flavor that people can fall in love with.
