Small historical Dairy Queen in the heart of Lombard.
Our Grand Opening was June 4, 1953-- Lucille May signed a franchisee contract with Sherb Noble, one of the original founders of Dairy Queen. The Noble family opened their first Dairy Queen in Kankakee, IL and their family is still active iin DQ. We sell the Noble vanilla recipe at this location still today--so, if you taste a difference, you are right! Lucille managed the store for years, leased it to various families until her niece Sally and her husband Steve Hoffman took over the franchise in 1986. After 26 years, Steve and Sally have retired and their daughter Karyn Kanthack operates the DQ. You can even find Karyn's young sons (4 and 6) greeting the customers from time to time. We are proud to be family owned and operated for all these years!
