A Cherry On Top Ice Cream Shoppe

Oh, the chair on the top is our new ice cream shop. We opened it in August last year, so we've taken over the old tourist information centre in Timber, which we'really lucky to have. It's a fantastic location. We do Devon ice cream, we do fancy cones, we just make it ice cream a bit of fun. We do all sorts of different things with ice cream to make it more interesting. We do coffees as well, cakes. Just a fun, nice place to come, have interesting, slightly different, quirky ice cream. And also we do beautiful gifts. Lots of things locally made, They're beautiful, they're things We do, we sell lots of Devon produce. So we sell biscuits, our ice creams from Devon. We have lots of, we try wherever, our jams, chutneys, lemon curds, all those sorts of things are made in Devon. So we try wherever possible to get Devon products. Our cars and everything else are also from Devon. So we do make a real effort to stock things that are Devon made. So we thought this is a really good opportunity. We're a new business, we want to get made locally. Maybe getting involved in taste of the team will help us because you don't put us on the map here in Timber. But actually it's been really, really useful. We have had lots of media coverage that weren't anticipating getting. We've met lots of people. We've had customers that we met on when we've done sampling and tasting days that have become loyal customers and stuck with us. We've tried new produce that we're now selling. It's been remarkable actually, and more than I anticipated because genuinely I did it at the beginning. I would have said yes to practically anything right at the start because I wanted to be seen willing, but it's been genuinely useful. And as a result I've been much more interested in the festival now and I will definitely continue to participate. And I would say to other people do the same because considering, I was really impressed with how the media helped us and really just the connections that we made and the network and we did in the area as well.
