Welcome to our world of fine chocolates! In 1775, General Israel Putnam said "don't fire 'til you see the whites of their eyes" at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Ten generations later Putnam Pantry Candies, Inc. continues to manufacture it's mouth-watering candy on the grounds of General Putnam's birthplace in historic Danvers, Massachusetts. Galo Putnam Emerson, who had a passion for candy, opened the original candy store on the first floor of the family's shoe factory. Since then the Putnam family has become famous for their scrumptious array of sweet treats that continue to be shipped around the globe. To this day, direct descendants of General Israel Putnam are actively involved in this tradition and creating these fine confections.
