Ice cream is America’s Favorite Dessert and MooTime Creamery was originally created in 1998 as the best of the best, a premier quality product. Our doors actually opened as Mootown Creamery, but the name was changed in 1999 to secure a trademark. MooTime Creamery’s goal has always been to provide the best hand-crafted ice cream, yogurt and sorbet available in a fun and nostalgic atmosphere. The first store at 1025 Orange Avenue opened in 1998. In 2001, MooTime opened at the world-famous Hotel Del Coronado by special invitation.
So the first thing you'll notice about the beach and diner is the decor. From the surfboards on the wall to the 50s music, this place really gives you that nostalgic diner feel. And with an all-american menu, you're guaranteed a great meal. Hi! How are you? Good, how are you? I'm great. So I'm feeling What would you suggest? My personal favorite is our French toast. Everybody absolutely loves it. It's made with this sweet Hawaiian bread. They drizzle it with cinnamon sauce, bananas and pecans. It melts in your mouth. Delicious. Yes, that sounds perfect. Got it. Here's your French toast. Oh my gosh. This is huge. Thank you so much. Okay, I'll give it a go. I don'think I'm going to be able to finish all of this. Oh my god. That is really good. Well enjoy. Opening its doors in 2005, the beach and diner has been a staple to the Coronado community. Having a great menu that includes all day breakfast, lunch, dinner and some amazing desserts has earned the beach and diner several acknowledgments from the community, including being voted best breakfast and best overall value. Serving fresh, home-style American meals in such a friendly atmosphere has definitely made them a favorite. Mmm. That was amazing. I'm pretty full, but I think I saved just enough room, which is a good thing because right next door is the multi-award-winning Moo Time Creamery, and I am not going to pass up some good ice cream. One taste of Moo Time's delicious ice cream and you'll know why it's been voted best ice cream by San Diego City Beat and best ice cream parlor by Coronado Lifestyle.
