My name is Tessie Sherrow. I'married to Nick Sherrow and we own Sherrow's downtown in Col My husband's grandfather came as a 12-year-old with his sister and brother-in-law to help with the pharmacy that they were going to buy and that was cocked drugs. I think that's the way they say it, but Over the years, pharmacy changed, different things happened and we ended up selling out in 2012 to Shopko Hometown Pharmacy who then took all of our employees including Nick that were involved with the pharmacy out to Shopko Hometown. Were very busy, but insurance companies, once the economy started spiraling down, one of the things that changed was how much they were willing to reimburse pharmacies for the drugs. So were getting paid less than what it cost us to buy the drugs wholesale. For the last few years of Nick's tenure here, he didn'take home a salary. In 2012, after we closed the pharmacy part of the business, we had to decide what to do with that space and there were several people that came through and asked that we put in a coffee shop and in fact were hearing r So we looked at each other and decided I guess we're having a coffee shop. And Steepen Brew is a local roaster out of Madison. We also sell sassy cow ice cream which is also a local ice cream dairy business here in Col And the bakery is all locally baked and the real king of this thing is Nick. I mean he's the business guy, he's the one whose family started this whole thing and what we're doing is continuing a tradition that's been here for a long time.
