The mama's search high and low for an eclectic mix of merchandise to make us the most unique boutique south of the Mason Dixon line. Located in a charming 1916 house two blocks off the square in historic downtown Fayetteville.
a My name is Cindy P I've owned t So originally the store was owned by one of my friends and she had called it Earth Mama's General Store. And once I bought the business from her, people just didn't understand what Earth Mama's was. They called and asked if we sold herbs or if we sold essential oils. So I collaborated with Virginia and her daughter, Carrie. And Carrie came up with the idea of changing Earth to junk because junk is universal. Everybody loves junk. We have all sorts of t I have a local honeykeeper. I have artists. I have people who love to just go junk in and find old, crusty, c The yard sale is underway at Junk Mama's General Store. Women love to paint furniture. Women love to be crafty. So Virginia will do a furniture, a basic furniture painting workshop once a month. And that is where you get to bring a small piece of furniture into the shop and you get to just the basics of learning how to use the paint. And then she offers other classes I can tell you everybody that comes in to Virginia's class, they just have a great time. It's I love the favorite t I love when customers come in and they just want to c I love when they spend time hanging out. I feel I just want people to come in and de-stress, just enjoy looking around, listening to the music and just chatting and having a great time. I find that a lot of people just want to talk. I find that it's just a little shop where it's hometown. It's a small shop. It's quaint. It's quiet. It's just home.
