It's exactly what these guys are accused of doing in Cape Coral. Cameras caught two suspected fruit thieves. Mane goes in hand, getting back into their car. This happened along Southeast 11th Street in Cape Coral. And B. C. T. S. Alicia Alonzo is talking to the homeowner who says these thieves were lucky. He was in home. The homeowner says he got a text from his surveillance camera while he was in the shower, but the thieves were already gone. He says if this happened five minutes later, someone would have been hurt. Very intrusive and very disrespectful. A Cape Coral neighborhood is on the lookout for trespassers. By the time I got out here, it was already gone. But I noticed a gentleman pulled up in his Toyota. Him and a younger girl came out and they came alongside the house. Ken Cole says this man and child took limes and mangles from his fruit trees. Infamous mango tree that we have tons and tons of them. Just before the sun went down last night, that's how people get shot is when you walk around somebody's property. I don't know if you're there for mangles. If you're there for stealing something else, I don't know this. Ken says he's never had an issue with thieves. Were you really here for mangoes and that's your cover story? Or were you here scoping up the house for something else? When people want his fruit, he says they usually ask. I'm a veteran. We're going to have a discussion one day and it's not going to be a nice one. Don't come to my house and steal if caught. These could face trespassing and petty theft charges.
