Hi, my name is Derek from Inspired Christian Storehouse from Windsor. In my early 20s, I dreamed of owning a Christian bookstore. But that dream began to wane about five years ago as major chefs in the industry really began to take its toll on the Christian bookstores across Canada. If you had told me a year ago that today I would be the owner of a Christian bookstore, I simply wouldn't believe you. But in December 2014, a thought was implanted in me and things began to fall into place very quickly and before I knew it, I found myself suddenly owning a Christian bookstore. But at Inspired, we are more than just a Christian bookstore. Our goal is to be the hub for the local Christian community. Were intentional about building the Nook, which is a place where Christians can come, connect, have a cup of coffee, listen to local musicians, take part in book signings, and many other events. At Inspired, we're also a mission focused people. We want to have real impact in this world. So we provide of course, bibles and music and things that will uplift and change lives. But we've also joined forces with missions With Under One'son, we sell fair trade products that literally empowers people to get out of poverty and make a living for themselves and for their family.
