Today I'm going to be unwrapping what we have in day 12 and creating a project with it. I also wanna take this moment to thank you all so much for joining me these last 12 days of videos and inspiration. I hope you were able to get inspiration from them, create with the products that are in this 12 Days of Christmas or if you do not have these products, at least be inspired to dig in your stash and see what you can come up with that is similar. This definitely was not in my original plan to do all 12 days in a video, but it has been a ton of fun. I have really loved digging through my stash and using whatever I can find, whether it is retired or out of stock. It's just been a lot of fun to create with what I have and I hope this has brought a little joy into your life as well. If you missed any of the days, I do have a playlist for the 12 Days of Christmas box inspiration, so you can always look back to that for reference. Now let's take a look at what we have inside of day 12 and this may be one of my favorites. It is a beautiful layering stencil. This stencil is called Magnificent Magnolias. So it is a four piece stencil, very similar to what Gina already has in her collection as far as the style. So we have the first layer is the open areas of the puddles. The second layer gives us a little bit more detail and then we have the two layers for the leaves and the stems. Now let's go ahead and create a project with this. So I will be using a six by six piece of layering weight white cardstock. I'm placing my stencil over the top and holding that down with some cute washi tape. I'm going to start with blue sky. So this was already sitting on my desk from a previous project and I thought it would be a beautiful color combination for my flowers today. Now with this first layer of the stencil, I am going to add multiple layers of colors, but of course you could just do the one color. I started with that blue sky, then I came in with medi I absolutely love this color combination. That orchid just really packs a punch to my flowers. Next I'm going to bring in dark lilac. So this I'm trying to keep more down towards the bottom of each of the flowers so that I can still see the transition of color throughout all of those pedals. The fun thing about using three different colors If you don't want to, it looks great just as is, but I am going to bring in that second layer. We're going to step it up and add the detail to the pedals and I am going to use the same colors that I did. Now once again, I'm starting out with blue sky ink using my standard blending brush. I will come in then with the medi I moved down to a mini blending brush for this since we are getting into some smaller areas and I really wanted to hone in on those areas. And then I'm going to come in with that dark lilac, again using a mini blending brush and just really getting that contrast in there. So that will finish off the second layer of the stencil which will complete our flowers. You're going to see what a beautiful color design that is using those three different colors on each layer. Next I'm going to come in for the first layer of the leaves which is the most open area of the stencil. Starting with key lime. I've really been loving that bright pop of green. It makes a great undertone. So I took a paper towel and wiping off any excess ink. And then something I So I started with a blue sky. This is still the first layer of the leaves. To be honest, as I was playing with the different shades of blue on my leaves, I forgot there was another layer to the leaves. I was just having fun playing. So I did a little bit of blue sky. You can see that changed up the green just a little bit. Then I'm going to bring in, I think this one was blue lagoon, trying to keep that more down towards the, or just at least one side of the leaves. Doesn't have to be top or bottom. I was trying to keep it towards the bottom, but sometimes those areas get pretty small. So as I remove this first layer for the leaves, you can see what a bright pop of green that does. It just, it gives it a little something different, maybe a color you don't have in your collection. When you overlap a blue with a, yes, a blue over a green. Now the second layer of the stencil, I started out with blue lagoon. Then I came in with tranquil teal. So as I finish that up, I'll remove this layer of the stencil and it's just something unique, something to give a try and experiment with. Now that my flower design is complete, which is absolutely stunning. I love these flowers. I'm going to take this over to my Misti and I am going to add a little bit of texture design to this. So I'm placing over the top of my design, the pin dot background. So it's a bunch of little dots. It'super pretty. It isn't overwhelming of the design. You don't want to pick a background that has too much of a pattern to it because otherwise it kind of is a little overstimulating, I guess I would say. So I am inking this up in a white pigment ink. I'm going to stamp that down. Just don't push too hard because we don't want those pin dots to squish. It is the best way to say it. So I stamped that down. It is very, very faint and you can stop at any point here. I wanted them to be a little bit more noticeable. So I believe I stamped it about three times. And this is going to give it such a fun look. You could also use these Swiss dots and bossing folder would be really fun too. Now I had a particular design in mind that I wanted to do. The first thing I'm doing is trimming this out with the master layouts set. This is just using the regular die cut edge. It's not the stitching. But then what I'm doing is trimming my panel down. This is going to fit over the top of that postage grid that is from master layout 14. So I kind of measured out how that would fit in there. I use the master layouts to add a guide to trim my flowers down, but then finished trimming off any excess so that it fits right inside of that postage grid. What I wanted is a postage grid edge without the inside pieces, if that makes sense. I wanted the edge is really what I wanted. So I added that to the front of that postage grid using some thin foam tape. Then I'm going to add a little bit thicker of foam tape to the back of this to add to some craft card stock. That craft card stock measures four and a quarter by five and a half. And I do already have it attached to a side folding card base that I did with some heavyweight white card stock. So I looked at this as a large postage stamp since I had that postage edge grand. That is really hard to say. Postage edge grid. And so I brought out the spring friends and the postcards and more stamp set. And I am adding some of those smaller sentiments and designs to make it look And because this was kind of an afterthought, obviously, I already added my foam tape. I'm stamping this in my Misti tool and I had just removed the foam insert. So that worked out pretty perfect. I'm stamping all of these designs in a black ink. Honestly, I was a little nervous about using black. I thought it might be too bold and overpowering, but I think it actually turned out pretty well. I had some sentiments left over from a previous video that I did. And this is using the floral friendship stamp set and coordinating dye. This one is one I stamped in a black ink. I thought that would tie together the stamping of the black ink that I used previously with the postage theme. So I will have all of these supplies that I used outside of the 12 Days of Christmas box linked down below in the video description if you're interested in anything that I use today. I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration using the magnificent Magnolia'stencil in day 12 of the Gina K designs at 12 Days of Christmas box. And thank you all so much again for joining me these last 12 Days with the inspiration. I hope you enjoyed it and thanks again. I will
