The Plaid Poppy

Today we are going to be taking a look at Positively Plab Puppy Parker, which is the lottery doll from Wave 2 of the Swinging London collection, which has pretty much come to a close. I went ahead and put all her stuff on except for her little hat. Her hat comes with little needles, all of the integrity hats do, but this one I found that you might be okay using it without any needles as it does kind of stay on depending on what angle you want. Personally, I'm not a fan of it, so I won't be using it on my doll. And then she also comes with extra hands, of course. They are gloved hands in a dark teal color. I do And then on to her outfit, I'm going to start out with this very big cape. And I originally thought that this was going to be a coat with sleeves for some reason, which I would have preferred, but this is just a cape with absolutely nothing else going on. For some reason, when I looked at her like this, it made me think of an I thought it was cute that they added this little chain detail around the collar, so that's cute. But And then we go on to her actual outfit and her jewelry. She does come with earrings. So you can see here, it'silver with blue enamel. She has a ring that matches the earrings perfectly, which I love. Here's the design on her necklace. I can't really tell what it is, but I do think that it's a pretty necklace. Here is her purse. It's a rectangular, bright, shiny blue with a little handle on the top. It's completely adorable. And I do collect doll purses, so I will be keeping this one. She comes with a black turtleneck sweater. And as I may have mentioned in the past, I'm not a fan of turtlenecks, but I do love the idea of a black sweater. So I'm kind of 50-50 on this, although I most My favorite part from her outfit is her plaid skirt and the black mesh stockings. I think it's a really, really cool combination. And it also reminds me of the whole London punk look, so I think that might be a little owed to that. And then down here, her boots. They are the same shiny blue material that we saw on her purse, and they have a buckle as well, so that consistency is always nice. But I'm not sure if these boots are too rain boots to be fashionable, but I do think they are very cute on her. So I'm still 50-50 on them, honestly, but they're not ugly. So here is a close-up of Poppy. She has brown eyes and gray eye shadow. I thought it was silver for a while, but it's actually just a light gray. And she has very, very soft pink lips. It's a very, very beautiful color on the Japan skin tone, so I'm very happy with her face up. And then about her hair, I do have a couple of things to say. I was a little bit scared that her hair was going to be really, really orange, since I'm not a fan of the orange hair dolls. I have a little nickname for them, carrot, because it reminds me of carrots. So I tend to avoid that hair color on dolls. I was a little bit scared of hers, but it's actually not that bad in person. And I think it is a pretty realistic redhead color. It's almost So it works. It doesn't really bother me. And she is my only Poppy with this hair colors. I was considering a reroute, but I think she can keep this color. She has it off to the side, which is absolutely adorable. And I'm hoping that once I wash out the gel and brush her hair out that she doesn't have a bald spot in there. Another thing that I wanted to mention about her is that she reminds me of one of my original Poppy Grail dolls, Ghostsea Poppy Parker, I believe from 2012 or 2013. So you can see some similarities there. She has brown eyebrows, brown eyes, and silver eyeshadow. Her lips are a little bit more orangey pink, which is one of my favorite color combinations that they've ever done on Poppy. And you can see the hair color is similar, but it's not the same at all. So here you can see Ghostsea is actually more light brown color. It's fun and hard to describe, but it's an absolutely gorgeous color. Positively, plaid is definitely more orange tone, but they are both beautiful dolls, even though they do look probably They're both beautiful dolls.
