The old man smiled gently as if he knew the father's thoughts. The old man held out a magic saucer with an apple. The father sighed and regretfully handed back a mountain of coins. As the day faded, night softly covered the earth, stars shone above and the father's car rolled on, carrying both fatigue and quiet hope. On the way home the merchant sat wearily in He thought of At last in the evening gloom the father embraced In the quiet courtyard the weary father placed into Her eyes sparkled with pure joy, her smile lit the air and in that moment all her heart overflowed with happiness. From the window the elder sisters watched the moment unfold, envy crept into their hearts They w Alone in the courtyard the youngest daughter gazed at the silver dish and the red apple resting upon it. A gentle glow slowly the apple began to roll across the dish. They saw the dish glowing, the apple spinning, the wonders unfolding. Their envy grew fierce, burning hotter with every vision until their hearts ached with jealousy. And so the night gave way to day once more, as time itself seemed to bow before the magic that had entered their lives. Word of the wondrous gift spread quickly. Outside the house, curious neighbors peered through the windows, eager to glimpse the secret. W Inside the sisters gathered. The youngest sat quietly, the silver dish and red apple glowing in her hands. The elder two leaned close, their voices sweet but insistent, urging her to show them their destinies.
