Pigment began as an idea between husband-and-wife duo Chad Anglin and Amy Paul. Longtime residents of San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, the two decided to open up shop in 2007, initially as a way to showcase Amy’s artwork. Though the space was originally envisioned as more of a gallery, they began to stock a carefully curated selection of design-conscious goods. It wasn’t long until the 1,500 square foot space flourished into a full-scale concept shop with an organic modern aesthetic. Inspired heavily by nature and their love of good design, Chad and Amy have grown Pigment into a one-stop shop for art, flora and thoughtful gifts, including plenty of locally made goods alongside globally recognized brands.
Budget planning and forecasting can prove to be an incredibly time-cons In this view, we've looking at our actuals versus forecasts for our fiscal year 2023 annual operating plan. In this table, you can see our detailed GL accounts along the side, our actuals, our forecasts, our variants, and then the reason for that variance. That information is being pulled into a waterfall diagram up at the top here. Additionally, you can additional commentary here. Down below here, we're able to see vendor-level detail. We've budgeted at a vendor level, so we're now able to look at the specific variances as they relate to each vendor. I know that this is because there was no vendor spend because of shifting timing, so I now want to come back up and create a new category and say it's due to timing. As I create that, we'll see the new category appear in the waterfall here. And in the additional commentary col When working within the pigment platform, collaboration becomes much easier. We can see here that our group medical insurance is over budget, so I'm going to tag HR. This will send a notification either via email or Slack. To our HR team, we'll be able to respond in this thread, so I'm able to provide more detailed commentary. Next, let's look at a cash flow statement. It's important to note that everything you're seeing is completely customizable. In a cash flow statement, that's very helpful, since you might want to look at different reasonings for your cash flowing in and out. Here, we set it up to have our AR balances, our new billings as total cash, our regular payroll commissions, bonus, other payroll, and purchase order cash payments. You can add or remove categories as you see fit, and you can also set up KPI, for example, as we have here, projected year-end cash. As you can see, the pigment platform makes it easy to bring all your data into one place, collaborate with other departments, and make better decisions.
