In the midst of new motherhood, The Arbor’s owners, Ashley and Katie, decided to embark on a different type of journey; a journey that landed in the heart of downtown Salem. Both lovers of The Arbor, a longtime Salem treasure, the two girls decided this special shop deserved to live on. They purchased the store in the spring of 2013 inheriting a 20+ year legacy of home good loveliness and small town charm. Bringing their collective talents together, Katie and Ashley are thrilled to serve The Arbor’s customers old and new! Our hope is that The Arbor is a place where you come to find that special, unique something for someone else or even yourself! With everything from home goods to baby items to handmade jewelry, we hope that you will continue to come back to see what’s filling our shelves!
It was an extraordinary first interview with a writer, because she'd never been out of Yorkshire before. I've never been in a theatre. Dear Max, I'm sending you the bit of writing I've done. It's not much really. That's because I've had to take the rain out of the nursery. I think it must have been hard for her to have a mixed race child on a white and very racist estate. If she was alive today, I'd have a lot to say to her. I think it must have been hard for her to have a mixed race child on a white and very racist estate.
