The Coven's Cottage

Hey folks, My name is an unboxing but with the basket instead, Coven's Cargo's and Salem is one of my favorite stores and they were kind enough to give me this basket for the video today. Were going for a bit of a harvest because it's fall so we're going to j So the first thing we have here is straw flower. So straw flower is used for luck so it has a lot of the golden yellows, the oranges and the reds so definitely fall vibes of course and the yellow is great because it represents solar energy so victory success. So it was very fitting that this be a plant for luck as well because obviously luck is when things go in your favor. What I Lark's part is for protection, the seeds for luck but these are great because they still have a little bit of fragrance to them. They're not overwhelming but there'still a little bit or something there so if you want your home to smell I just pick a piece of the flower off and I can put it right into whatever I'm doing. So the next thing we have going on here is black salt. So black salt is great for many things. I use it pretty often because I do a lot of protection work for myself and for my friends as well and clients too. So black salt some people put it in a bottle by the door, by their back door, by their windows. Some people bury it underneath their front steps as well. You can put it into a sachet, you can use it in your spell work. I did make a video previously on how to make a protection spell candle and this is in it. So if you were to j I will say though with salt of any kind I don't recommend putting it directly onto soil because that can mess with the pH and that can be bad for the environment. We don't want that. So just a heads up, I didn't realize it until someone told me so if you're going to share it with you as well. So the next thing we have is warding salt. So warding salt is used for protection of the home. But what I And calendula I use for dreams. So what I'll do is I'll put a little dish under my bed and I'll put a little ring of the salt on the dish and that just helps me guard my dreams so that way I sleep better, I have more energy the next day. It's a really useful tool for sure. So going back to our hardest theme, the next thing we have is they're honoring the dead incense. Now I really They really do the work and they make sure that the herbs that they pick for their incense are appropriate and actually make sense for the purpose of the incense. So for example, this when I see some hissyp in here, it's used for purification and working with the dead. So it makes sense it would be in there. I can't speak highly enough of them. They are really knowledgeable about all the products and they don't just kind of put a bunch of things in the bottle to make it look nice. It actually has a purpose which I really respect. So the next thing that we have here is an ethically sourced goat horn. So goat horns are used all throughout mythology. In Norse mythology they're used for transformation and also protection. So if you think about Norse mythology, you might remember that there's a goat that eats the leaves of Yggdrasil and that the leaves are basically converted into mead for the gods to drink. So that's where the transformation comes from, but it is still horn so it can still be used for protection as well. I will show you in an upcoming video how to make a protection horn for your home as well. So definitely feel free to Now back to the hardest thing as well, we have a pomegranate. So pomegranates have a really rich history and lore throughout many cultures all over the world. They represent the balance of life and death. Now if you're not sure or if you didn't know already and maybe you do know, I'm going to show you And you don't have to have a rattle to work with your deity or ancestors. Some people really I do. I have They're awesome. In case I have friends who want to do working with me as well for my deities. But if you don't work with a rattle, that's totally cool. This is just a really cool affordable option and something different you wouldn't normally think of right off the top of your head. So the last thing that we have here in the basket is a really great bundle of dragon's blood sage. So dragon's blood as we know amplifies and protects. So as I'm cleansing space with sage by moving the energy away, the dragon's blood offers a layer of protection at the same time. So with that, we have an ethically sourced pheasant wing. So I mean, where are you going to find this? So ethically sourced, all of the bones and animal wings and pieces from Coven's Codges are ethically sourced, which is important to know. Definitely if you're going to use any animal pieces, make sure that they are just because it's disrespectful to the animals. They're not And B. It's not going to benefit you at all So there we go. So with the pheasant wing, one thing that you can do and that I do is I'll look up the windows and as I'm cleansing, I'll use the wing to kind of lock the smoke up the window. If you are in a home, I recommend just opening up the windows and starting from the bottom of the floor and going up to the third floor, second floor. However, however tall the home is, just go up to the top level and work your way up because the smoke's going to rise up. And then when the window's open, the smoke can get out. And the nice part about the dragon's butt is that it offers a little layer of protection to kind of keep that stuff out as the water doesn't go back in on you. With the pheasant wings as well and wings in general, they are really useful in spellwork. You can put a wing or a feather on your altar to represent the element of air. In some cultures and traditions, they'll take a feather of any wing, be any bird, and they'll whisper a spell into it and then let it loose on a windy day and that's a way to send a spell. So these are just really quick, quick overviews of each of these items. They're a lot more useful to use as well. I definitely encourage you to research and get multiple sources to see what works for you as well and trust your own experience too because before we had books, we had our experiences. So just because this book might say one thing doesn't mean that it's true for you. So, something to think about. But yeah, definitely let me know what you thought of this video in the comments below.
