A great idea the people of Winnebago County are latching onto is the idea of "Shopping Local." So we thought, why not bring a bunch of LOCAL businesses into ONE place and let the folks in our community support their local businesses in a big way, in a single shopping day! "Why Shop Local?" Shopping local is more than just supporting our little shops. Statistics show that for every $100 spent at your LOCAL stores, services and businesses, 68% stays in your local economy. For every $100 spent in a national chain, only 32% stays in your local community. That is a giant GAP when you think of the revenue being made by the national chains during the holidays, and how much our local economy would benefit if we shifted some of those sales to our truly LOCAL businesses. Come table at a local holiday market with me. We came in two hours early to load in and here's my setup! Trying out these new holographic laminates. I literally laminated this morning. I'll see how they do. I really On the orb. These prints are held up by PVC pipes and prayers. 12 minutes before the market starts. So cute! Okay, with tax they'll come out to be 773.
