In this time I am taking you on a day exploring a countryside paradise in the most picturesque area of the Bortou wine region, the beautiful Santemillion area. For a few days this aut After admiring the morning stillness and letting all its quietness fill me with pure joy for a good half hour, I started getting ready for a day full of beautiful experiences and explorations. I recently got my first few pieces from Lilia Silk, a brand that I've been wanting to try for some time now as it has the most elegant needs. I got a few cashmere tops and a couple of trousers that I thought would allow me to create beautiful and comfortable looks to explore the Bortou region on this crisp aut I also got this beautiful Bortou toned leather and silk moccasin which I thought had not only a very appropriate color but were also super soft and comfortable to spend a full day walking and exploring around. Mu00e9ssons de Brouill is a six bedroom rental village that is as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. It was originally an old winery which has been recently renovated with such care that it seems to have been a family house for centuries now. When we got time for breakfast the table was already fully set up and the team had also was absolutely perfect but I especially loved the pastries super fresh and very flaky which the house team gets every morning from a pastry shop in the nearby village of Saint-Emilion. After breakfast I went to sit in Doranschi with an amazing light and the most charming views of the vineyards in the church tower of the local town of Saint-Gistof and worked a little bit on a new project I am developing called Simply Slow Mail. Simply Slow Mail will be launched in a few weeks and there is a members club where every month I will be sharing with you my favorite bits and moments from the regions around Erap that I travel to along with some very special offers and all this you will be receiving at home in a beautiful letter that you can collect throughout the months. Discover more about this new project of mine by scanning the QR code or clicking the link in the description box. Over a cup of tea and in one of the very cozy and comfortable cardigans from Lily Silk that I decided to put on for a morning working inside I spent a good couple of hours choosing the paper textures, the final colors and getting all the final little design choices made so I can send everything for prototyping and present a final version to As lunchtime rolled around we drove past the landscaped covered in golden vineyards and into the charming town of Saint-Emilion, one of the most beautiful towns I have been to The weather was a bit undecisive and the sun came and went constantly but despite this There are many amazing restaurants in Saint-Emilion and went and tried a few during our stay in the area which I will link to in the description box below. On this day however went visiting the Cordelier Cloister, a charming historical place where they make sparkling wine and where we decided to sit for one of their picnics. In the s After lunch we kept on walking around Saint-Emilion and exploring the city. After lunch we kept on walking around Saint-Emilion and exploring the village, its picturesque corners and its historical sites each of them so very charming. As the end of the afternoon approached went back to Mizzoune du Brouille to do a wine tasting with the owner of the property. While we waited for the scheduled time and as the light was absolute perfection went on exploring the house and I am leaving you with a full tour of its living areas and some of the six bedrooms all of them so beautifully decorated with the most charming antique pieces and furniture. We then went with David one of the owners and the winemaker of the property on a tour of their vineyard their winery where we learned all about the history of the property of their wines and of the whole wine region of Saint-Emilion. We finished the tour with the tasting of their wines both the reds and whites and if you are visiting the region I strongly recommend that you reach out to them for a wine tasting too. I am leaving the link for scheduling the tasting in the description box and I can tell you the whole visit is one of the best you can do in the region with David showing his passion for their wines but also giving you plenty of advice and sharing his knowledge on the wines from other winemakers all around. As night fell went back to our room to get ready for a private chef dinner with the property owners and I put on my favorite 100% cashmere cable knit sweater so you can imagine how soft it is that I got from Lily Silk and then I matched it with these soft full white pants. I found that this whole look was very elegant perfect for an elevated dinner time but it also ended up being so very comfortable to spend a whole evening in. I am leaving the links to all the pieces from Lily Silk that I wore on this day so be sure to check them out if you want to treat yourself or someone you love to beautiful cashmere needs this holiday season. After starting dinner with some delicious butters and fresh bread chef Julien prepared the most delicious and soft label, who'salmon macchi with politica viars before moving on to a starter of lobster with smoked curry squash and then a main dish of dry HP free steak with bordelet sauce. where we had not only such delicious food, but also an amazing time getting to know more about the property and its history. We had the fresh chips, milk cheese course, and then a very generous pear and Earl Grey pavlova with a pear Earl Grey ice cream. And just I hope you enjoyed coming with me on an aut
