"It's All About Bees!" is a family-based business started in 2000 by Wendy Fletcher, soon joined by her mom, Margi. Using her dad's honey, Wendy and Margi make a variety of products including jam & jelly, salsa & sauces and body care products.
One of the key points that I'm very interested in is sustainability. So I'm passionate about sustainable colonies of bees within the UK. We're trying to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. We're using natural ingredients. We're using ingredients that as much as possible are locally sourced, especially the honey. We are both registered and trained beekeepers, so it's important to us to know where the honey is coming from. We've got a producer on the Wellbeck estate producing a gorgeous woodland honey. And our hope is that we can take some of the honey that he produces and make a special brewmead. And the notes from that honey will then be transferred into the mead that we're producing.
