Stock Culinary Goods

Thoughtfully sourced, well-designed kitchen tools, cooking resources and gifts for food lovers.

I am beyond elated to introduce you Stock Culinary Goods. This is my dream store. It's a place where people who love to cook and entertain can gather to find the materials to outfit their kitchens, decorate their tables, find inspiration or simply chat with other like-minded food enthusiasts. For some time now I have wanted to weave my zeal for cooking, my experience leading culinary classes at the Ocean House and my many years seeking out exceptional retail for the eat.shop guides into one enterprise. With Stock, I have the opportunity to do all of that right here in my beloved Rhode Island. The eat.shop guides reinforced for me how important it is that a retail space be more than just a point of purchase, but also a place that reflects and furthers community. For this reason, I want Stock to tap into and extend two of Providence's most well-known attributes: Its position as a creative and artistic city, and its reputation as a town that values and supports good dining. The store carries carefully curated assortment of tools and housewares made by our amazing local and regional artists, as well as cleverly designed products from around the country and world, one-of-a-kind antique finds, vintage cookbooks and more. It is convivial place too, where we offer tastings and samplings, culinary socials, all held at the big central wooden table. With all of our great restaurants and chefs, Johnson & Wales, the bevy of food trucks, Edible Rhody, the vibrant farmers' markets and the many food-crazed people I know personally, I'm confident the region is chock-a-block with those who enjoy cooking. Stock is for us. I really look forward to seeing you here -- to talk shop, swap recipes, share ideas. A good Stock, after all, is the foundation of good cooking!

As I get older, I'm just less and less interested in things that don't have a story. I just, life is too short, space is too precious. When I shop for my products here, I'm definitely thinking, is this the best one of its kind? Is it at a price point that people can handle and bonus, extra bonus if it's U. S. or regionally made? It is such a thrill when we sell the products where I personally know the person and there's a lot of them here. I mean, it's always first name basis. It just changes things when These things are really actually the boosts that I get every single day and people can literally in Rhode Island walk off the streets and sell you the most beautiful things. We have great beer samplers from a guy named John whose company is called Taunton Green and he does these little We love it when people come and we say, are you a beer enthusiast? Because we got you covered. We also carry ceramics from Anna Heismith. She went to RISD. She's a lovely potter. I've had to ask her, what do I call her, a ceramicist? She says, no, she's a potter. The maker's mill is leather that wraps around either mason jars or flasks at the holidays. That's the thing. And honey, that's our local honey too. I've met those bees. Those bees live large. We are accountable for what we sell and we want people to not feel We want people to feel that their products are invested with the story, that their products are actually being made by people we know. And we want you to not just be We want you to know that you're, Thank you.
