The tulip tree, also called the yellow poplar or tulip poplar tree, is a magnolia family native to the eastern part of the United States. It is a fast growing hardwood tree with a straight trunk that feeds the Carolina landscape's eternal beauty and shine. In several regions of the United States, this tree can acquire a height of 160 feet. It has also been recorded that, in some areas, people have witnessed a 190 feet tall tree. However, this tree's average height is 70 to 90 feet. A lot of fast growing trees don't live much longer. Another thing that distinguishes it from other fast growing trees is that this yellow poplar is a hardwood which other quick growing trees aren't. The tree is also a great source of nectar. You can extract about one tablespoon of nectar or poplar honey per flower. Yellow poplar is so famous among the Native Americans.
