A girl and a dream! I started Sunshine Soap Company back in 1998. Two hay bales and my pick up truck went out to the flea market in Raleigh every weekend for almost two years. At the time, I was a full time Police Officer with Durham Police Department and needed a creative outlet. Eventually, I started a website and started doing craft shows. Once a year I would open up my home for a day in December and let people come and shop. It was my way of having a "store" . At least for 24 hours. In 2010, I discovered art. Something that I had never quite dabbled in before. I started another business, American Angel. My medium....well.....JUNK. I started making art out of salvaged materials...anything old, rusty, beat up and discarded...it was my gold. I started doing art shows and selling online. The big dream since day one was to someday own a shop. A brick and mortar, for real....shop. My dream has come true. The sacrifices, the hard work....they are paying off. I have THE BEST and MOST LOYAL customers in the world. Along with very supportive friends and family who have been along on this ride since 1998. The time is here. The time is now. A leap of faith.
