In Joshua chapter 6 verse 21 we read in the Bible that they devoted the city to the Lord. Jericho is now devoted to the Lord. This place where there was idolatry and rebellion is now devoted to the Lord. What a great victory at Jericho and think about your own city. What would that transformation look If the city right now you think about it as is and what if it was devoted to the Lord? What would change? What settings would change? What attitudes would change? What actions would start or stop? How can you be a part of that? I want to challenge you today that wherever you're walking or driving around your city start praying. So as you walk by schools pray for the teachers and the kids. You walk by churches. Pray for all the churches that you walk or drive by. Pray for leaders in your community. Pray for your neighbors. Wherever you go pray today for your city and then devote yourself. The whole city might not be devoted to the Lord yet but devote yourself to the Lord and say God whatever you want me to do in terms of praying for this city, speaking, using my words to lead people to you or serving, using my gifts in this city. God I want to be a part of that. God we're praying for our cities today that they would become devoted to you and it would start with us. We'd be devoted to you. We'd help us to be prayerful people as we walk around our cities today and we commit it to you in Jesus' name. Amen.
