Upscale and vintage home boutique. Furniture restoration services. Home clean outs.
Got a houseful of stuff you don't want? Or just a few big things in the way? Check this out: We'll come take it off your hands pronto with a truck and a smile. What do we do with all the stuff? Well, forget that business about one's man junk being another man's treasure, and not just because it's sexist. Most of the loot gets donated to charity, sent to the recycler, or repurposed in some uber creative way. As luck would have it, we sometimes run across some really awesome stuff. Barely used appliances, antique furniture, killer stereo speakers, stone-age radios that work. You get the idea. We pluck out the treasures and present them to you at our 2,000 sq ft showroom. Nothing sticks around long, so frequent browsers are welcome. Just ask any of our regulars, but you'll have to get here first. The RECYCLE CINCINNATI name and logo are trademarks of the owner.
Cincinnati is the first major city in the Midwest to start advanced recycling, an exciting program right at your curb. We'replacing the little green bin with large recycling carts so you can recycle more. Mastin Klein lives in the West End with two roommates. It's a lot better than the little bins we had before because we'd fill up all the bins and then we didn't have anything left with all the recycled materials we still had so were just putting in the trash. We hope to double or triple the amount Cincinnati recycles, saving landfill space and money. We have a revenue sharing clause and we're going to be making money on the materials that we collect rather than paying to send them to a landfill. I'm Council Member Lori Quinlivan and I chair the Mayor's Green Steering Committee. I Here's how it works. The city delivers a cart based on the size of your household. Most families get the 96 gallon cart, small families get the 64 gallon cart, and elderly and those who have space issues get the 35 gallon cart. Pickup is every other week on garbage day and you don't have to sort anything. We tested how much the large cart holds. One, two, three, four, five bins worth of recycling. It will all end up here at R They sort it and shoot it and jiggle it to separate out what can be recycled and reused. So we don't make their jobs any harder. Listen to these tips from R People think that you could put any plastic into the bin but really you can't. You really need to make sure it's a bottle or a jug. So things What about this? No, it's not a bottle or a jug. You really need to look at the shape of the container. Let me give you another example. This is a jug. You can look at the top. The top is smaller than the bottom. So as long as the top is smaller than the bottom, So this top is bigger than the bottom, not acceptable. Plastic bags. Oh, we don't want these. We can't keep them clean and dry and we can't provide that to them. So take these back to Kroger. Don't worry, there's a cheat sheet. So everything the resident needs to know is on the cart. It has the website and phone n It tells you exactly paper, plastic, metal, glass. It has the list of items that we don't want and the city's 5916,000 n Michael Gears lives in Oakley. Well, I think having the bigger carts but also having the program that you were talking about where people are more incentivized to participate, I think that would actually help the recycling rates in the community. Here's how you get rewards. When your recycling goes in the truck, an automatic scanner records the amount going in and gives you points. Later on, you get on the computer, sign up for Recycle Bank Rewards and redeem your points for prizes. You'll get coupons and gift cards for national change like CVS, Bed Bath and Beyond and Dick'sporting Goods and local favorites like Oakley Cycles and the Muse I'm getting hungry. Time to redeem my rewards. So you bring your coupon into the rewards partner of your choice. I'm here at LaRosa's. Hi. Hi. Bono or off coupon. Thank you. Alright and I will be recycling this box.
