Bijou Gift Boutique

Well my name is Joy Addington. I am the owner of Bijou Gift Boutique downtown Bluffton, 127 West Market. One thing about owning my own business, I was Well, your customers set your hours and I try to be available to my customers. Whatever you need, if I don't have it, I'm going to point you in the right direction, whether it be down the street, around the corner, we have a lot of talent in our community and I'm grateful to be a part of it. My motto is a gift for everyone, including yourself. You're going to walk in and find a gift for someone, but you'll probably find something for yourself too. We make our own body butter, Bijou body butter, it is amazing. If you haven'tried it, you need to because I'll get you hooked. Purses, and I also have a local artist in here. Several people in our community are great artists and I really appreciate them. And we do a lot of sales with them. I've been in this location almost four years. I started out with needing a new line of work and that led me to wanting to get involved in my community, being able to offer products and has turned into a wonderful experience. I've gotten to know my community, my leaders in my community, become a leader in the community and give back and that's very important for me. My favorite part about being downtown is the interaction with the people that live downtown. We're basically in someone else's backyard. People live downtown and we're growing downtown and that's amazing to see. And we need to respect what we're doing downtown as a group of businesses and how we can enrich the lives of people that are choosing to live downtown now because we are growing and we're expanding and doing great things downtown. I'm really excited to be a part of it.
