The sale features a fabulous US presidential section highlighted by a n We also have a World's Fair section with this very rare embossed bottle, early tokens, and a n A military button collection is next, with buttons from different state militias from the Civil War through World War I, followed by a fantastic Arizona Lawman doc This Arizona Lawman collection from Graham County, Arizona has hundreds of doc The California Gold Rush section has an archive from MD Fairchild, all kinds of Gold Rush ephemera such as Clippership Cards, highlighted by this 1851 hand colored California Gold Rush map, and this early California mammoth plate print by C. L. Weed. One of the highlights of the sale is the original Chuck Wagon in usable condition, and other cowboy memorabilia including this original cowboy archive. The express section has letters, signs, wax sealers, and other ephemera including a fantastic Wells Fargo cover collection, mostly from California, that comes with this early Silver City Utah Territory cover and a highlight from a full faced advertising cover from Ofer Nevada and of course the original post office from Horn Silver Nevada. The railroad section is highlighted by an original Virginia and Truckee Railroad stock signed by William Sharon. The Native American section certainly has several highlights, some of which are the baskets including this Saline Valley Panamint basket, a n The mining section has a lot of highlights including mining stocks, this one signed by Adolf Sutro, stocks from Bodie, from the California Gold Rush era, and this fabulous piece with a woodblock print from famous artist William Keith. The mining artifacts section has all kinds of wonderful things including material from Rhyolite Nevada, early scales, a huge underground mine lighting collection, and of course miners candlesticks. A n Two early Utah maps are also present. The mineral and ore specimen section is again wonderful with bullfrog material, early specimens collected by a geologist in the 1950s in Michigan. Gold jewelry and watch section is highlighted by a Murphy's California nugget that's been well known in the same family for nearly a hundred years. The watch section is highlighted by a watch of Conrad Dahl who at one time mined the largest nugget in Alaska and converted his nugget into a watch. We have his engraved piece and other wonderful jewelry. The ingot section has a fantastic William Sharon ingot handed down in the same family for a hundred years, a Lewis and McKay ingot from New York, a n The assay section has a fantastic batch of assay receipts including this Harvey Hearst piece from Marysville and a Leopold Coo collections from Virginia City. The treasure section has an original hull from the California Gold Rush ship the Candace along with a lot of great coins from the wreck of the El Cazador. The saloon section is the best we've ever had with absolutely spectacular colorful advertising material.
